Kirsty Williams: The Minister for health and I are jointly leading work to embed a whole-school approach to emotional well-being. While the focus is schools, much of the work has equal relevance to other settings such as further and higher education, where complementary working is also under way.
Vaughan Gething: We have asked Health Education and Improvement Wales and Social Care Wales to develop a workforce strategy for health and social care in Wales. This work will consider the best way to support career-long training, development and education for all the workforce.

Kirsty Williams: We are taking positive steps to improve mental health support for learners in further education and across the whole education sector. Work is already under way and further options are being framed for future implementation and to ensure a joined-up approach across education sectors and with Public Health Wales.
Vaughan Gething: ...Healthier Wales' demonstrates our commitment to the well-being of the health and care workforce across Wales. It will also be at the heart of the workforce strategy that we have commissioned Health Education and Improvement Wales and Social Care Wales to develop by the end of the year.
Ken Skates: We have a number of initiatives in place to support the development of the well-paid sectors in Wales , including Swansea. This includes increasing our funding to Higher Education Funding Council for Wales for expensive subjects in 2019-20 to support delivery of higher cost subjects, including science, technology, engineering, mathematics, IT and computing.

Rebecca Evans: Funding early intervention services has been an important consideration in allocating the 2020-21 budget. For example, in 2020-21 we have doubled funding for our whole-school approach to mental health to £5 million, invested £5.5 million to support Healthy Weight: Healthy Wales and invested an additional £3.5 million for the Flying Start approach.
Kirsty Williams: ...and experience, which will be mandatory, focuses on developing healthy relationships and understanding how these are fundamental to well-being. It is also proposed that relationships and sexuality education will be a mandatory part of a school’s curriculum.
Vaughan Gething: We continue to work with health boards and Health Education and Improvement Wales on recruitment and retention initiatives. Last year, we recruited record levels of GP trainees.

Kirsty Williams: As elsewhere, schools in Islwyn have access to curriculum guidance, agreed programmes of professional learning, additional INSET days and funding, as well as practitioner networks. Support will be ongoing, but schools need to first reflect on the guidance framework, the four purposes, and begin developing their vision for learners.

Mark Drakeford: We have confirmed funding of £2 million for mental health and well-being in the further education sector in 2020-21. Most of the funding is going directly to colleges to build capacity, and to support collaborative projects to ensure a consistent, evidence-based approach to staff and student well-being across Wales.
Mark Drakeford: Due to these exceptional circumstances, on 18 March, the Minister for Education announced that the summer exam series would not go ahead. Learners due to sit their GCSEs and A-levels this summer will be awarded a fair grade to recognise their work, drawing on all available information.

Mark Drakeford: The decision to increase operations in schools from 29 June was guided by an approach based on equality of access, as all learners have a right to education and to be supported in their learning. This phased approach aims to mitigate the negative impacts on learners caused by COVID-19.
