The Welsh Government works with our partners across South Wales Central to educate, raise awareness and prevent hate crime. We provide funding to support victims and promote community cohesion. We have significantly bolstered our work in this area in recognition of tensions arising from EU withdrawal and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Care home visits are permitted under the new regulations following the firebreak period. Local authorities and care homes must work to ensure arrangements are in place to support people to see their loved ones as safely as possible.
Our regulations require that all the actions we take to supress coronavirus in Wales are tested for proportionality. We rely upon objective evidence for the assessment of efficiency.
In Living Wage Week, I am pleased to confirm that the Welsh Government, its sponsored bodies, the NHS in Wales, national parks, local authorities, Cardiff Airport and Transport for Wales and the majority of local authorities in Wales pay all directly employed staff the foundation living wage.
