We provide grant funding to support the delivery of extra-care housing. Extra care is an important housing option for older people, bringing together high-quality flexible accommodation with care and technology to enable people to live independently.

The community bank will improve access to cash and banking services for individuals and small businesses across Wales. It will help facilitate local investment, economic development and community wealth building, recirculating savings into loans and preventing capital drain. Bank outlets will have a positive impact on communities and high streets.

We are committed to building on the successful programme of work led by the ministerial taskforce for the south Wales Valleys. We are working with partners across the Valleys to determine how to further develop and stimulate economic, social and environmental action, particularly in the Heads of the Valleys region.

Following completion of the successful Improving Lives programme, we will build on achievements already made to support individuals to lead healthy and independent lives. We continue to work closely with the learning disability ministerial advisory group and third sector partners to deliver improved outcomes for people with learning disabilities.
