We have been working across Government to develop a strategy to tackle gambling-related harm in Wales in line with the recommendations in the chief medical officer’s report. The Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Services will make a statement in due course outlining actions taken so far.
The primary objective of Rent Smart Wales is to raise standards of management in the sector, rather than improve property standards. However, where action has been taken against a landlord or agent in relation to poor standards it can, and has, result in the revocation of a licence.

I established a Fair Work Commission earlier this year to review the evidence on fair work, including in relation to the gig economy, and make recommendations on what more could be done to make Wales a fair work nation.
Welsh Government has awarded Aston Martin grants of up to £18.8 million linked to job creation, skills training and research and development. The grants are being drawn down over a three-year period, as the company achieves key targets.
We agree with the statement’s damning condemnation of the UK Government’s stubborn determination to see through its harmful policies that are having such a detrimental impact on the most vulnerable in our society.
