The Internal Market Bill poses the most serious threat we have seen to devolution. All four governments have reiterated their commitment to establish Common Frameworks, which are even more important in the context of the Bill, and the Intergovernmental Agreement remains in place and must be respected.

These actions were recently captured in the Winter Protection Plan, which sets out a range of actions including those for actions on Test, Trace and Protect services, vaccinations programmes, personal protection equipment (PPE), care homes and getting the NHS ready for winter.

The Minister for Education has published operational guidance providing a framework for local authorities and schools to support all learners to return this term. The guidance sets out control measures that need to be taken to minimise the risk of transmission, including adhering to social distancing in the best ways possible.

The Welsh Government has put in place a £53 million package to support the culture sector across all areas of Wales. The Cultural Recovery Fund has welcomed applications from individuals and organisations in Islwyn to help them through this difficult period.

In Wales, we focus both on increasing the resilience of our ecosystems to safeguard species, and targeting specific action for rare species where needed.  This includes £78,000 of funding through the Land Disposal Tax Community Scheme to secure the future of the iconic red squirrel in Wales.

We are investing £8.7 million in flood risk management projects throughout South Wales West. This includes £6.9 million on the design and construction of coastal schemes at Aberavon, Porthcawl and Mumbles and a further £1.8 million in schemes and repairs throughout the region this year.
