Part of 2. 2. Cwestiynau i Ysgrifennydd y Cabinet dros Gymunedau a Phlant – Senedd Cymru am 3:02 pm ar 1 Chwefror 2017.
Diolch, Lywydd. Diolch yn fawr iawn.
Cabinet Secretary, you talked about empowerment as one of your themes, and if that’s going to mean anything at all, it must include empowerment of the most marginalised people in our communities. I’d like to draw your attention to a project called the Unity Project in Monkton in Pembrokeshire, which is a project amongst the Gypsy and Traveller community there. I’ve been contacted by a member of that community who has used that project to develop her skills and to become trained to a degree level, but she is very concerned that the project is coming to an end now and that other people from the Gypsy and Traveller community similar to her won’t have that opportunity. I understand the project is being run by Save the Children, possibly, and Pembrokeshire County Council, but I ask you: are you aware of this project and what conversations are you having with Pembrokeshire County Council, because there are a number of Gypsy and Traveller communities in that area, regarding ensuring that there is empowerment of those communities as well?
