Growing the visitor economy for the good of Wales is a priority for Government and I was pleased to launch 'Welcome to Wales: Priorities for the visitor economy 2020–2025' tourism action plan recently. This comprehensive plan will help to grow tourism sustainably, focusing on Wales’s strengths—its landscapes, culture and places.

The thresholds for rates reliefs used in Wales mean that half of Welsh businesses pay no rates at all. The thresholds used in England mean that only one third of English businesses are in the same position.
Health boards are responsible for ensuring that their local populations have access to timely and quality healthcare, including at minor injury units. I expect units to be sufficiently staffed to deal with predicted demand from the community, as part of a whole-system approach to providing unscheduled care.
